stress and duress
Holiday stress? Gimme a break you bourgeois click-happy internet consumers. You and your too many cocktails, not enough girlfriends, and too little real work. Whiney bastards.
Recent news concerning TRUE stress and duress shows that “The U.S. government publicly denounces the use of torture.” Really, they do. But they do condone more subtle physically unnerving methods of information extraction, like fingernails on the chalkboard, etc, and good doses of reverse psychology:
Those who cooperated were rewarded with “creature comforts” as well as feigned friendship, respect, cultural sensitivity and, in some cases, money, from their interrogators, it said.
For the particularly disagreeable, the govenment will farm your ass out:
On the other hand, some who did not cooperate were turned over — “rendered,” in official parlance — to foreign intelligence services whose practice of torture has been documented by the U.S. government and human rights organizations, the Post said.
Just be happy you’re not spending the holidays with Uncle Sam’s big brothers…
