Henny Penny! Rumsfeld’s best literary reference yet is to a 1st grade book, and a simultaneous rip at the media and anyone concerned with order in Iraq. In yet another of his patently indignant and insulting press conferences he criticises the media for over-focusing on “lawlessness” in Iraq, and not focusing enough on “scenes of jubilation”. Fair enough, uhh, I guess, but what exactly is the bias on covering what is actually happening? The news yesterday was scene after scene of tearing down statues, the news today is looting. Rumsfeld wasn’t complaining yesterday. And by the way jackass, you’re responsible for maintaining order according to the Geneva convent- oh, nevermind…I forgot, this administration never really cared too much for all dem international rules and whatnot…
But speaking of the looting…

First off, all I could think when I saw the head of the statue of saw-damn being ridden through the street was if i had that head, I could break it into a million pieces and make a killing on Ebay. Now, all I can think about is those cool “Death Cards” that have been distributed to our troops. How fucking sweet are those?!!! It’s hysterical to picture some dude in an 8×8 dirt floor shack with a 20×30 Persian rug he dragged from the foyer in Sodomy’s palace #41. I love this notion that people are looting to express their pent up emotions. They’re taking shit cuz its free!

Last night I was watching an old (1975?) SNL re-run on Comedy Central or E! Chevy Chase was doing the news. He said something like Syria is protesting UNICEF’s new Christmas card which says in 12 different languages “Let’s kill the Arabs and take their oil.”
This was sent to me in email yesterday:
When in England at a fairly large conference, Colin Powell was asked by the Archbishop of Canterbury if our plans for Iraq were just an example of empire building by George Bush. He answered by saying that, “Over the years, the United States has sent many of its fine young men and women into great peril to fight for freedom beyond our borders. The only amount of land we have ever asked for in return is enough to bury those that did not return.”
