The State of Scandal

Not much going on with the Senate investigations into prewar intelligence at the moment. Ever get the impression that they drag this shit out for a reason? Come on, we’re Americans…limited attention span here, and with the holiday season of capitalist glory soon approaching…Neither has the CIA operative leak been resolved. But I’m sure Ashcroft is doing his damnedest. In the words of a another former CIA operative:

“The exposure of an undercover intelligence officer by the U.S. government is unprecedented. It’s not the usual leak from Washington.”

Yep. That’s our government.

Now on the lighter side of scandals, there’s always conspiracy art. Sort of like conspiracy theory only you don’t have to listen to it talk.

Here’s a William Kristol and Eric Alterman real audio showdown over the true colors of the media. Surprisingly cordial.
