kill the poor
My car was broken into, again, while sitting within “gated” parking at the Mattress Factory. This time they stole my cannon digital and my lomo. My fucking lomo. Thieves with a thing for those contrasty, saturated color images only the lomo can produce? More like bums that get free meals at Blood and Fire, then scout out the nearby parking lots for goodies, says the ATLPD. Motherfuckers. Kill the poor.
Aw man, that completely sucks! Was it the bad ass digital you took the moon photo with, and could see time-frozen raindrops and such?
I don’t know about blaming the bums. It could be, but cracksters looking for the fast cash aren’t far away, could be some living right there in the building. Crack addict car theives are suckbags, but technically more motivated than bums. Try the ‘karma note trick’ again, couldn’t hurt….
I don’t know about blaming them either, nonetheless, feeling like my wealthy country often does, I need a visible target. Therefore in my over-reactionary rage, I say kill the poor, bomb France, dismantle the UN, and re-ignite the nuclear arms race. Fuck everything.
Pay the bum to sleep in your car to protect your camera from the crackhead.
…or don’t leave valueables in your car. I don’t mean to be a jackass, I’m just sayin’.
At least the nikon D70 lives on unmolested by their dirty little hands….
usually I tape all my valueables to my chest..dunno what happened to make me forget.
they’ll have to pry the d70 from my cold dead corpse
didn’t they try the bum/crackhead strategy in Iraq? can’t remember if it worked…
DUDE! THAT SUCKS! I’m sorry…
Very sorry to hear that. Blood and Fire Ministries has always annoyed the shit out of me. I know this sounds trite (i.e., “oh, the suburbs suck!”), but it’s basically a bunch of Cobb Countians who come into the city for a few hours to get their evangelical altruism on, and then retreat back into the safety of their subdivisions.
But what this translates to is that it attracts a ton of homeless people from all over downtown (i.e., people who otherwise wouldn’t necessarily be in the Grant Park/Memorial Drive Corridor area) and greatly increases the prospects of petty crime — especially if you live right next door to the place like our Man Under Stress.
How would the Blood and Fire folks feel if we went up to Cobb County and put up a bunch of homeless people up there? This is a classic case of NIMBY syndrome — “not in my backyard.”
Someone stole my car COVER last night.
Be on the lookout for someone draped in a light blue car cover and snapping the occasional picture somewhere between East Atlanta and Grant Park.
Now the question: the car cover protects the car, what protects the car cover?
Hey Justin! You and your homeless buddies come on up to Cobb anytime you want. We’ll give you blood AND fire, then stick ya’ll on one of those jumbos out of Dobbins flyin’ illegals back to Mexico!
Why, thanks for the invitation, Dubya! Like Clark Howard, I’m always up for free air travel … and I hear Mexico is nice this time of year.
