Hackery: not just for nerds anymore. Used to be, that the term “hacker” was losely associated with geeks, maybe Michael Anthony Hall types that took computer classes in High School. In the 80s. Then it got a little cooler when we realized you could do a lot more than change your school grades…enter todays world of the Phone Phreakers, the 8-bit punk rockers, and now the circuit benders.

When you look a bit closer at the geek/punk duality you realize how symbiotic the relationship is, and has to be, in order to survive. A geek with no punk in him is just a little wuss that would never break the rules. A punk with no geek is just an idiot, a Sid Vicious, an angry fool who will never rise above his own lack of intelligence. It’s only when they are brought together that they transcend their individual limitations and create truly bad science fiction characters like Johnny Mnemonic.

Then there is art. Dada is done. Say hello to Agit-Poop.
