The faults of youth are retained along with the virtues, he believes. These include short attention span, sensation and novelty-seeking, short cycles of arbitrary fashion and a sense of cultural shallowness.
Still, I’ll take a “short attention span” over a “lame attention span” any day. I take issue with “cultural shallowness,” however. I think the reverse is true: youth embraces cultural aspects that adults often forget exist, like music, film and the visual arts. Ask an “adult” when the last local music act he/she saw was.
