2112 in 1976

Rush, during more inventive years, when rock meant cool mustaches, bell-bottoms, and 20 minute songs. As one viewer comments, “Jesus Christ with a stick!” Saw a “rock opera” version of this performed Thurs. night at 7 Stages in L5P.

Dude, it ain’t over…Part II.

What was your verdict on the L5P version? Maiden’s # of the beast was played too, if I’m not mistaken…

Nothing beats 668 - the Neighbor of the Beast

The rock opera was hilarious. To quote Michael right after the 2112 performance, “I don’t remember any strippers being in it.” 666 just as completely cheezy/amusing: fake blood splatters, broken props, eddie on stilts with dredlock wig and pants falling off. The band wasn’t quite up to snuff but got better towards the end.

Adding gratuitous strippers never hurt anyone ‘cept some chumps with too many $1’s in their pockets-

Damn Straight! Ok I fucking admit it I got the new Rush album and love it.It has started a whole new search for good Rush memorabilia and these videos are priceless. The more I witness rock and roll from a retrospective perspective the more I appreciate them. Anyway, good find.
